Which Offer is Better?
Let’s say you are doing affiliate marketing for a book titled “101 Ways to Count to Ten”. Amazon.com sells the book, and so does Half.com. You want to know which one gives you the most money.
It’s not as easy as comparing the payout schedule… you also need to factor in conversion rates. If Half.com converts twice as often as Amazon.com, then even if Amazon’s payout is higher, it may be better to go with Half.com. But how would you test to see which one is better for your bottom line?

How it Works
- Cloak your affiliate URL.
Let’s say you decide to cloak your URL as www.yoursite.com/go?101WaysToCountToTen
- Point your URL to multiple offers.
Now all you have to do is assign your new custom-cloaked URL to multiple offers. If you add 2 offers, Amazon.com and Half.com in this example, then the link will rotate between the two - 50% to each offer. If you add 3 offers, then it will send 33% to each offer. If 4, then 25%... and so on.
- Check your payout.
After letting the rotator run for a while, you will build up a number of clicks. Each offer should have the same number of clicks. Now, compare your offers head-to-head. Which one paid you the most? Which one converted more? Since the clicks are the same, you are actually comparing apples to apples. Whichever offer paid you more is the bottom line winner. Period.
- Go with the winner.
Optimize your commissions. Once you find the winner, you can turn off the lower performing offers. But don’t worry, you can always turn them right back on.
